August at the Trylon
Gosha was an expert storyteller who relied on economy in lieu of painstaking perfectionism. He has yet to garner due acclaim in this country. Crafting unforgettable characters but never falling into caricature, he made an undeniable imprint on directors such as Takashi Miike and Takeshi Kitano. The Trylon is pleased to present this four-film series, which features two new restorations. Promotional support for this series has been provided by Japan America Society of Minnesota.
