Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger, known together as the Archers, collaborated on the production of twenty-four landmark films that changed the landscape of British cinema. The two movies in this series were both made after the end of World War II and are elegantly crafted works that display Powell and Pressburger’s greatest strengths: potent humanism and lavish visuals.
