THE LONG TAKE

Summer at the Trylon

Cinema is uniquely capable of capturing time and space. The long take, also known as a continuous take, long shot, or oner, is a technique that fully embraces this advantage. Using this technique challenges filmmakers to choreograph complicated blocking in conjunction with camera movements. This sprawling series spans multiple genres, eleven countries, and sixty-six years.
