TAGLI PROFONDI DI DARIO ARGENTO
October 19 - 21 at the Trylon
Giallo (Italian for yellow) horror cinema, a term that alludes to the yellowing paper of pulp novels, came to be synonymous with Argento. Though often criticized as cheap and overly violent, his movies nonetheless exemplify the genre. His blazing reds and stunning blues create a beautiful texture for stories of astounding dread. The Cult Film Collective presents rare 35mm prints of two films that mark the apex of Argento’s career.
