Mexican narcotics officer Mike Vargas (Heston) must interrupt his honeymoon with his new American wife, Susan, (Leigh) after a bomb planted on the Mexican side of the border explodes on the US side. Famous for its startling three-minute-plus opening shot, Touch of Evil is also a penetrating examination of police power and corruption.
