THE BUSTER KEATON SHORT FILM FESTIVAL

Five films, five musicians, one night, one theater.
The Trylon Cinema and Syncopated Silents present the first BUSTER KEATON SHORT FILM FESTIVAL, five short films with five individual musicians accompanying each. From piano to guitar to 23 string banjo, this is going to be a night of incredible music played before some of the craziest Keaton shorts imaginable.
Once called “the high and lonesome cosmic hobo”, Paul Metzger opens our show accompanying “The Frozen North”on his 23 string modified banjo harp.
Multi-instrumentalist Amanda Standalone is a composer, writer, folk musician from Minnesota and will be performing piano, accordion, violin, cello with “Haunted House”.
Celica, the solo project of Sho Nikaido, will be playing guitar and keyboard connected to 2 cassette 4 tracks during “Daydreams”.
Organist extraordinaire Kim Crisler will be a playing a Kurzweil PC 88 and a Casio WK-6600 workstation keyboard, the latter with a pair of theatre organ patches during “Cops”.
Eisner-nominated cartoonist and musician Zak Sally will play Baritone Guitar and Fake Optiga during “One Week”.
