Patterns

(1956, 83m) dir Fielder Cook w/Van Heflin, Everett Sloane, Ed Begley. Fred Staples (Heflin) is brought in to the firm Ramsey & Co. as its newest industrial engineer. His ethics are challenged at every turn by ruthless CEO Walter Ramsey (Sloane). A brilliant takedown of American capitalism—it is almost unbelievable that this film was released in the mid-1950s.
