Captain America: The First Avenger in 35mm

Sunday, August 24–Tuesday, August 26

(2011, 124m) dir Joe Johnston w/Chris Evans, Hugo Weaving, Hayley Atwell. Steve Rogers (Evans) is a skinny kid from Brooklyn who can’t stand bullies and wants to get into the fight against Hitler. He’s deemed unfit for military service until a scientist chooses him for an experimental procedure. Director Johnston’s pulp sensibilities and the character of Rogers elevate Captain America into a beloved anti-Nazi pop film.
