BUNGALOW HEAVEN: PRESERVING A NEIGHBORHOOD
Thursday, June 13
(2015, HD, 73m) dir Joaquin Montalvan. Join the Twin Cities Bungalow Club at the art house Trylon Cinema for a special showing of the documentary, Bungalow Heaven: Preserving a Neighborhood.
More than 25 years ago, a neighborhood nestled in the heart of Pasadena, California, recognized the threats to a harmonious way of life and vowed to do something about it. Their efforts worked. Over time, a declining neighborhood of some 1,100 vintage homes became a highly desirable place to live and an example for others to follow.
In this inspiring documentary, you will learn the origins of Pasadena’s famous historical district as it is told through photographs, tours, and interviews of experts, as well as Bungalow Heaven’s own past and present residents.
This event is free to Bungalow Club members and is $5 for non-members. The box office accepts cash only, or tickets may be purchased in advance below. Ample street parking is available on Snelling Avenue, just one block west of the theater.
So grab some popcorn, settle into the Trylon’s plush seats, and ascend to Bungalow Heaven!
