(1991, 35mm, 116m) w/John Turturro, John Goodman, Judy Davis. This is a claustrophobic trip into the anxious mind of a 1940s newby Hollywood screenwriter, who may be living next door to Satan. This was the first film to sweep at Cannes, winning the Palme d’Or and prizes for Best Director and Best Actor (Turturro). Barton Fink was also the Coens’ first to receive Oscar nominations.
