Fellini in Black and White – TRYLON

SERIES

Fellini in Black and White

January at the Trylon

A young, apolitical Federico Fellini started as a cartoonist and humorist in Mussolini’s fascist Italy. The war changed Fellini, and he became the country’s greatest artist. By the end of his career, he would be known simply as the Maestro. His greatest films embrace the beautiful contrasts of monochrome photography, from the harsh truths of the neorealist I Vitelloni to the surrealist fantasy of 8½.
