Andrzej Wajda is one of the greatest European directors of the twentieth century, and his films have been almost entirely unavailable in the United States. He was a major force in reigniting the floundering Polish cinema landscape amid the rubble of World War II. The films in this series are personal, political, epic, and intimate all at once. Screenings of Andrzej Wajda’s films in the USA in 2026 are part of the ‘Wajda 100 Tour – North America’ project, organized by DI Factory with the financial support of the Polish Film Institute.
